Having
evolved from The Vampires (they basically just changed the name!), the original line-up was Blackmore, Danks, Buckie and
Dunklin. Blackmore was insistent on having a (non guitar playing) singer. After several singer changes
Danks became the lead vocalist but Blackmore was not happy with a four-piece and
Barry Lovegrove was drafted in. *According
to Danks' memory Buckie was replaced by Underwood for while, before returning to the
line-up. When neither were available, Maybey occasionally stepped in.
It would appear that Blackmore continued gigging with the Dominators for a short
while after joining The Jaywalkers.
