Alan Whitman - Sub-editor

As a full-time data administrator, Alan sub-edits More Black than Purple on a voluntary part-time basis, and also assists with production and organising of the annual Blackmore convention.  

He is a life-long Blackmore fan, who first heard the man via the classic Made In Japan whilst at school in 1975. Alan also likes many of the other classic seventies bands such as Magnum, Pink Floyd and Rush. His current new musical passions include Nightwish, Within Temptation & Epica. 

Alan's other interests include military aircraft, football and rugby. He lives in Harrow, North London with his wife Eileen and their two cats.
